Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

RTO fallout will be epic!

The bank is testing us but they don't realize how many of us are ready to push back and not return to work at all over this. Who are they going to replace us with if we don't show up? The job market has never been worse for businesses and better for employees. We hold the power for once.

I really can't believe they let you mo--ns work at a financial institution. Do you not realize the economical impact that working from home has had on our country? The economy needs people to be going to office and spending money on gas, lunch and other amenities. Sorry it doesn't align with your beliefs on wanting to work from home but that is the truth and everyone should stop whining about it. Must be really hard for the employees that didn't get a choice to listen to you people complain about such a standard practice of going into work

Can’t believe we would even hire a person with a poor attitude that would come here angry trolling people. You seem to lack common decency and seem to have major anger issues. Whoever your manager is I do hope they get rid of you for spewing hate towards anyone who was able to work from home the last few years. You are wrong assuming people do laundry during work hours. I am doing 2 person job so I barely have time to take 10 min to eat my lunch let alone think of laundry. Some of us are professionals and actually put in 10+ hours of solid work a day.

Unbelievable, Oh I hope you end up on my team! I'd personally love to track every second of your day, time your breaks, measure your output, and make a list of reasons why you're too expensive for the company and a toxic liability that shouldn't be retained. Don't worry, I'll also partner with HR to make sure you're legally let go vs. any severance. Compassion and respect are important traits in employees and colleagues, that you apparently seem to lack. Since you're discussing essential workers, my guess is that you aren't one.

Every company is going through this RTO nightmare. Go check the other boards. Most large business are working with the government to pull employees back into the offices to help try to stimulate the economy - in office workers buy clothes more than yoga pants, pay for gas, gym memberships, dry cleaning, coffee, meals, and the list goes on. Senior leadership is making choices, that said, there are companies embracing technology and flexibility and wfh models to reduce overhead. Maybe its time to dust off the resume and let the "unbelievable Karen" enjoy the skeleton crewed petri dish waiting back in the office, all that extra work might just be karma ;)

Unbelievable aka Karen is one of those individuals who obviously hates life at home and loves torturing fellow colleagues ruling from the watercooler. Don't pay it any mind, just give it the good ole care bear stare and keep it moving. Hang in there, you've got this!

To the unbelievable poster above:
Who are you to decide wh-p needs to be in office everyday and what gives you the power to make the decision that if you aren't customer facing you don't need to be in the office. Must be pretty desperate if you are using a "pollution predicament" maybe you should invest in a electric car... Don't be mad you have to actually come work for 8 hours a day now and can't sit at home and do laundry on company time. For your "can" and "should" be jobs done remotely too bad!!! Have fun coming back to work after your 2 year break from the real world! HAHA

To the unbelievable poster above:
Who are you to judge who deserves a job? Humble yourself. None of us are spoiled but if we are not customer facing there is really no need to commute back and forth adding to the pollution predicament we are all in right now. Many non customer facing jobs can and should be done remotely.

Awe - Poor baby gotta get dressed and go into the office again!! It’s SO unfair!! Be thankful you had the opportunity to work from home over the past two years and keep earning your salary/hourly rate! Think of all of the “essential workers” doctors, nurses, educators, fast food workers, USB branch employees etc... that have been having to go the office or place of employment throughout the pandemic and put themselves/family at risk. Judging by the attitude that came across from your post - you don’t deserve having the Job you currently have.
