Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

How much overwork can one person handle?

I guess Citi is counting on employees being insecure, hesitant, and reluctant to start over. Whenever someone leaves, I get more and more work. I'm on the verge of giving notice.

My question is how overwhelmed with work are you? How big is your workload?

Drag the work out. Don’t complete it within you’re work hours if you do they will continue overworking you. You have to fail because as long as they can get two work loads out of one person with one salary they will continue to do so. Play the game! Good luck

If Citi wanted to truly combat high attrition they could do so by not giving out overwhelming amount of work and fostering abusive managers and also pay a decent salary. Citi will take everything you have to offer and then some more regardless of toxicity so long as you are willing to put up with it. The only thing that matters to the key players at Citi is how much work can they squeeze out of you for the cheapest price.

Stop working until you faint from exhaustion. Stop putting in 16 hours per day. Stop skipping lunch. If nothing else, when it all comes down to it. If you don’t like your environment, then change your environment. Even if that means seeking a job somewhere else.
