Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

You get what you pay for...

I get it, worked like crazy for HW for over 2 decades creating success for our group. Since I wasn't in the "in" crowd the rewards were lukewarm near the end.

When you're extremely techical no one but you knows how long or difficult it will be to implement the program. Why not pad it so you can relax while meeting EEI?

Since I left before receiving my band 4 bonus, just spent the last 6 weeks at home doing repairs. Gave management bunch of tech jargon about documenting my work before I left. So HW paid for my bonus without knowing it.

They don't care about you so take advantage where you can.

Honeywell hates its employees. I suppose it tolerates us because we do some work for them but they sure hate paying us.

You are valued greatly when you leave. Take a break. Don’t burn bridges and come back as a contractor on your own terms. So much fun working 3 months out of every six. I am a happy engineer enjoying life.

If you are a conscientious technical contributor and not a brown nose politician you won't be valued at this company. Your boss won't understand or appreciate your contributions. Sad fact of life at this company. Been there and done that.
