Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

ExxonMobil employees are some of the worst colleagues you will ever have. Imagine living in a free and exciting outside XOM world where your so called XOM colleagues and friends for the past two decades cannot (and happily not willing) to provide a reference?

These people are monsters (not by design some started as good people but the company made them as evil being).

All those giving legal arguments.. do you know that all other major company employees across the US and the world provide reference all day long. Why is XOM liability so special? The fact that people use that as an acceptable logic tells you how corrupt you are as an XOM employee.

Well if you got bad references and want a little revenge, send an email to HR or call the hotline and tell them who provided the references since that’s against the ExxonMobil rules, lol.

Don't ask, don't tell.

Many EM employees provide references to their colleagues and direct reports. You just need to make sure you use your personal email and cell phone as a reference.

My former colleagues at Exxon were great references and helped me secure my current role. Will always be grateful.

No EM employees are allowed to provide reference (positive or negative) due to legal liability. They are only able to confirm past employment with dates.
