Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

It's not like people are struggling to get a job here

Some say Crown has no problem hiring new candidates. How then do you explain that for a long time now no one has filled the open positions of two of my colleagues who left? I still think the company is having trouble hiring new people. Just like keeping skilled ones who want to leave.

No one can answer that but the hiring manager lol. It could be that they don't want to hire them, could be they don't like any candidates, could be they make offers and people fail dr-g tests or background checks, could be they're offering too little pay, could be everyone in your market wants to work remote, could be a lot of things.

Crown has no problem getting applicants. The problem in my region is the high hiring standards. Perhaps the open positions the OP is talking about were intentionally left open. That’s another Crown MO. Don’t fill open positions and let the remaining suckers take on the additional work.

Word travels quickly in the telecom sector. When many highly productive long term Crown employees leave, they are not saying good things about the company. The culture here went from highly positive to negative in the last few years. Most of my coworkers flat out told me they would not recommend anyone to work here, a couple of years ago that would be unheard of.
