The workload has become unbearable. My manager noticed that I am on the verge of leaving because I had a real burnout, so he promised that someone would come soon to help.
That someone is still not coming, and a lot of time has passed. Now I don't know what's more more frustrating, the unbearable workload or their false promises?

"If you are obliging and working the insane hours you are part of the problem. Just clock your 8 hours a day and let the chips fall where they may. The same way there is no reward, there will be no penalty."
Exactly. I never understood the mo--nic position of bragging about working longer hours... congrats on giving away your labor for free I guess? That doesn't make you a "hard worker" that makes you stupid. Clock in 40 and make sure any requests to make you work longer are in writing.
FYI, no one is coming to help. One, it takes an act of God to get a new hire approved, and now two, who in their right mind would pursue an open position at Fiserv?
I have been told this as well: 'All new hires must be approved by Frank himself', what kind of multi billion dollar corporation has its CEO approve positions? Answer: A toxic failing one. Run dont walk to the exits.

On our team I think the majority of our team routinely work 55+ hours a week. This means the company is getting the benefit on an 1/4 to more of a FTE week in week out. It is BS. A twelve hour day for me with lunch and dinner at my desk and I am f@#king done.
Fiserv has the worst leadership team possible.
It is not the managers fault. Requisitions aren’t being approved at higher levels. They only care about revenue and expenses
I had a coworked who had accepted a position somewhere else, but then decided to stay because Fiserv said they would hire a helper. Guess who doesn't have a helper.
Just do as much as you did when fully staffed. The rest isn’t your problem. Important to remember: there really isn’t a penalty for failure when you think about it.
Very familiar. These hires never materialize.
Familiar story. Tell us which group without telling us which group :)
