People should be making a bigger deal about all of these jobs moving to India. Several companies moved their call centers there and were forced to move back when customers began closing their accounts due to being upset at the offshoring of jobs. If customers knew more about that shift, that could cause a lot of ripples.

Mortgage, WIM/WFA, multiple call centers, half of the branches, technology, and underwriting are all going to get hit in one way or another this year. By end of Sept for most - be prepared for it.
I was just laid off last week, my position was outsourced to the Phillipnes.....so I doubt they are done.....They only gave me that day of notification then shut me out of the systems..
Anyone see Hagerman's business insider article where he says WF is looking to hire 2500 tech people in 2022? Must all be in India because we've seen nothing but layoffs the past year in tech.
We are working on so many WFIP installs, it isn't funny. The US staffs will work with and train their replacements for 3 to 5 months. Then call centers teams in the US will be obliterated.
We're not even close to 190K to 200K yet (current operational efficiency target) Yes, more layoffs are coming. They will be done in such a way to avoid alerting the media and as last last resort because WF doesn't want to pay severance or unemployment benefits.
Mortgage operations likely will as interest rates tick up and volume decreases. Probably in all areas
Layoffs in PA starting early April
I doubt we're done, but I'm sure the vast majority of the #s will come from specific LOBs so other groups likely are done.
Are you kidding? 25k employees are being hired in India.
Absolutely! Time to celebrate.
No and not the right numbers in the right areas. More will be coming through the end of Feb through early April.
Resignations and deaths/illnesses from RTO will get us across the finish line.
