Honeywell felt the impact of the culture change at Boeing. It changed honeywell too.. intense pressure to cut corners and avoid recertification and retest at all cost. I remember the "50%" cheaper in 5 years mantra.
Quality control vanished. Honeywell and Boeing execs went around Deer Valley saying "woah is me... boeing is going to do all their avionics in house because it is cheaper..."
- . Then started the cuts. Now you get rewarded, promoted, and paraded for only one thing ... money.
