Sakhalin Evacuation

How are we going to get everyone out of Sakhalin? I for one would be on the next plane out if I was there. No way I’d let my family stay.

@jdg is correct, they need to be evacuated, I would not want my family in Russia right now

Really aqc? The issue is not one of geography but international diplomacy. The Russian Federation where Sak1 is located just invaded a free sovereign nation with no provocation. Our government must respond with every tool at its disposal including demanding US citizens return home from Russia and barring any US company from investing in Russia oil and gas industry. We also have no idea how the Russia Federation "leadership" will respond to US sanctions. Russia is not above taking US citizens hostage. Two currently in Moscow jail right now. ExxonMobil has a responsibility to protect its workers our fellow citizens by removing them from a country that has just started WW3

If you have a problem at the Yuzhno airport jump on a train to the Hokkaido ferry. It's a no hassle way to cross over to Japan. Five hour ferry ride.

I wouldn't mess with hanging around Yuzhno.

Some people are claiming to have COVID to have an excuse to not go back right now.
