When business processes, product offerings, and business itself is changing, sometimes they feel a need to flush out those old areas.

Hardware is easy, Software is hard. With modern Dev OPs the application architects handle it all. We are new to this but then again we are roughly 15 years behind our competition in all things tech.

We've got Hagerman doing interviews with Business Insider stating WF is looking to hire 2500 tech people in 2022 but then we see these tech layoffs? Someone please make it make sense. You're losing critical business knowledge which is just as important as technical knowledge.

With R leaving and the interim numbers guy taking over, our mgr said on Thursday that our group might be in trouble, lots of nervous energy out of him which he never shows. I knew it was a matter of time before we were going to be hit, now it's a waiting game as to when we start getting the axe.

Several of my friends in Tech pinged me today to say they had been let go, about 12 on the same team. The quality of the people they are letting go is stunning. Not only technically very strong but deep tribal Wells knowledge of how to get hardware into the DC's and remote sites quickly.

They continue to lose good people and have no one left who is experienced on the staff whatsoever.

If you are left there, good luck. You’ll need it. 😉

Is this what the "urgent technology freeze" communication is about?

Again “RIP” poster gave us correct information.
Are those farewells coming from layoff or people leaving WF for better life?
