Most of my family and friends employed by top technology companies like Amazon, Salesforce, google etc.
All of these companies give flexibility to work outside of US when employers have family outside of the US.
Why can’t Verizon provide the same flexibility? Looks like I need to find a new job if they are so inflexible. It means I can never visit my family for more than three weeks. I saved 6 weeks of vacation but I cant use more than 3 weeks in a row .. also I can’t work remotely.

In addition to Global Clearance, there are also considerations for WHERE you intend to work from (network security), and employment tax liabilities.
Domestically (for example), if your home base is TX, but you work in NY over a certain period of time, consecutively, you and Verizon owe state taxes.
While Vz 'could' allow it, there is a lot of admin involved to stay legal and compliant.

It is because certain technologies and information are not permitted outside of the country without global clearance. There is a huge process behind it to ensure that the company is never out of compliance. There is a huge difference between Amazon and a Telecommunication company. Especially one that the biggest customers are the Federal govt and NYC accounts. There are also Federal laws that we have to comply with. If you are asking this question then you obviously do not know anything about our company and should look elsewhere. When you were hired, it was to work in the USA and not abroad.
2 days in the office a week?? Our org is 2 days a month.
Why can't we all continue to work from home? I don't see the benefit returning to the office 2 days a week when not all of our team is located in the same location. How is this collaboration?

There are very strict rules about taking US VZ equipment out of the country. Read them and you will understand why.
Why can't you use more than 3 weeks of vacation a row? Plenty of people do it. Sounds like a manager issue to me.
