What are the chances that someone gets approved to change work locations? As in halfway across the country? I miss my family and support system way too much.

@1hro...yes, Dallas is a Tech Hub. I'm in Dallas and was initially told that my pre-existing WFH was null and void and was expected to report to an office way across town. Since then my Remote-status has been reinstated.

Is Dallas a hub for Digital tech? I know it's a strategic hub but not sure if hub yet for that business unit.
They have been approving more and more. Submit the form and you will hear back in a couple weeks
In general, it’s likely that if you move to one of the hubs for your business unit, and that hub has space, it won’t be a problem at all. If you move away from a hub, it’s less likely to be approved, or at the very least you put yourself at a disadvantage for the future. There are also some hubs that have no room, and they may decline to put you there as well. Work with your manager.
as the person said previously - if you are a person that actually works and gets things done, i wonder what choice do they actually have especially if you are moving to another hub.
Will depend on your leadership, also hubs, and whether other employees in your org are already set up in space that is near. Alternatively, if you have leadership support, but no good nearby space, you could try and get an accommodation to work from home across the country, but will likely need a psychologist to support the need for physical proximity to your family network.
If you're one of the few folks in each group that gets stuff done and everybody knows it... then you won't likely have any issue. If you're someone who reaches out to those people multiple times a week... then maybe, maybe not. Depends on how nice your manager is.
