Agree with being able to network across the world without meeting in person. I have a number of co-workers that I’ve built relationships with and have never met. It is just frustrating when your team or people you work with are located in other cities and so you are basically driving to a location to make phone calls.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, RTO is not a problem when the company pays for a car service to take you to and from wherever as well as gives you massive office. If any of these execs had to commute by mass transit or drive and find/pay for parking plus had to work in a small low walled flex cube, their tune would quickly change.

Please pose the following in the text town hall, because I would love for them to respond:
“ Share some stories about how RTO is better for the single parent that's finally been able to find some work/life balance these past two years......or the hundreds (if not thousands) of us that will be returning to an environment full of NOBODY WE WORK WITH. You guys are shipping jobs overseas and trying to become more global by the day, yet insist we RTO”
Your post was absolutely spot on, and for these same people who are returning to offices or branches where they have no desire to obtain a new job at that location, the whole networking idea is baloney. In fact many of us have successfully collaborated, and networked with people across the nation, and at times in India.
Just an example of leadership sickness.
More missing humanity here. He does not care if we get sick or infect our families. Why the rush with the next variant and surge around the corner? It's obvious that the vax is not a vax and only limits severity of the sickness. Long haul symptoms and kid MIS sickness are still risks. Why not make RTO voluntary for those that are ok with the risk?

SP - nobody cares about how you've benefitted from RTO. And nobody cares how excited the Operating Committee is about RTO. It's all about the money, bro. We know it. Quit pretending like it's anything but that.

And for the continuous thanking of the front-line branch workers for coming in everyday these past two years.....save it. They know you are closing branches and the direction of e-banking will lead to the eventual elimination of all of them soon enough.
Your staff can't stand how tone deaf you and CS are. Nobody wants this RTO. You c-suite folks know that your entire existence depends on being face to face with people because you don't otherwise actually produce anything for this company. Did you forget that 9 of 10 people around here aren't managers? We do tasks.....we don't have to collaborate every day in order to get things done. We have this little thing called 'email' that works quite well and allows us an audit trail that we can save. In-person conversations aren't verifiable and they can't be seen by anyone except the folks involved. We simply don't need them like the C-suite does to get things done. Do you know how many verbal conversations end with ---'ok, so I'm going to recap this conversation in an email and if you could just reply and formally let me know you are good with this approach, that will be great.'
