Honestly?

I was happy to join, but soon realized all the bs politics that gets you promoted and moved up. If you're not doing that, which I really don't care to do as I just do my job and do it well, it really becomes just a job that barely pays the bills. I thought being at such a large firm pay raises, bonuses would be great, but I've come to realize the 1 tenth size company I left gave 10x better bonuses and raises than this place does. Leadership lacks leadership skills, they are only in those positions as they have people who like them above them. They use that position to move on since repeat. (3 leadership changes in less than 3 years). All "highly" coveted, despite being terrible leaders. So not happy at all. They over work you since they don't, or I should say, can't keep employees since the pay is not nearly adequate for the work you're tasked with, so you're constantly having to do more with fewer people because of it. And let's not even get into how shtty the raises were on top of being over worked. And now this RTO rhetoric when we clearly do better at home, so yeah, not happy in the slightest.

I’m happy. I have great coworkers. Pay is sufficient. Boss is not a jerk. I have very few complaints. I just come here to compare/contrast and see what color the grass is.

From home I really enjoy my job, sometimes stressful and of course there is always the lazy a..ho-e who never finishes their stuff, but overall I'm happy with my actual job. Now, from the office I am so miserable I can't do my job in peace I'm frustrated by the time I get there, have to figure out food or go hungry all day, there is never enough time to get the job done, have to stay late and get home at night feeling horrible and exhausted. So I really like my job, but the other unnecessary stressors when working at the office make me hate my job.

Paycheck and health care + flexibility is all that keeps me here.

Same as others - ups and downs thru the years - but mostly down the past decade.

Cr---y managers who have no clue about the business, basic banking, and certainly no idea how to lead.

Just marking time until I can leave. (No appetite to learn how to manage a new place.)

Long time employee here. Generally ups and downs over the decades.
Highlights, solving tough problems creating a win-win for everyone including the bank. The rare times when senior mangers would appreciate the employee and I dont mean the weak and confusing and hard to use benefits.
Derailers, handling of work location and RTO, pay but that is expected and comes part and parcel.

So, legit answer.

Work is work... but I am very, truly happy to work this work. I am good at it, my boss is pretty darn good. I am paid "alright", not the best, probably 10% under market. But that is ok.

They havent forced me to get vaxxed.

Yeah, I can work here my entire career no problem; the grass is not greener on the other side, at best its the same shade of brown.

No, how can anyone be happy being underpaid, under appreciated and bull sh----d all day long. I don’t need to be happy if I’m paid enough to fake it.

I'm here for the benefits and flexibility. Other than that, I could give two craps.

I totally agree that this job in particular is a paycheck, and a small paycheck at that.

Many are not happy here. They are fake about it if they tell you they are. And most are here for a paycheck until something better comes along.
I’m here I do my job and that’s it. Being truly happy at work went out the window YEARS ago. The culture has changed. We get more and more leaders coming in without the knowledge required to do the job. Huge problem.

Work isn’t a place to search for happiness. Lots of things bring me happiness in life, work isn’t one of them. Work is for the paycheck.

If the answer is anything but fully, then you shouldn't be here.
