Threads do get removed. The thread about banning smoking on campus was removed within last hour.
I've seen my threads deleted before when I cared. Now, I'm happy at another big player. Just got 20 more years now...
The guy that posted it and all that replied were PIPd.
I have actually noticed a thread removed completely, not drop off the top 25. It was a thread about Se-ual Harassment and people were giving potential examples that they had witnessed or been victim of.
Probably deleted for legal reasons.

Threads upon threads upon threads. At the bottom of the page there's an 'older topics' button that will take you to even more. The post in question was on the second or third page, last I checked.
I'm guessing there are a lot of people from a lot of companies that forget or don't know to check further, because I see a lot of complaints about 'deleted posts' that were not deleted. :)
How do we get to these pages??
Man this site drives me crazy.
I see people whine and moan about 'deleted' posts every single day and just shake my head that they're that thick about it. They sit there refreshing the "Latest Posts" which only show the last 25 posts, instead of going to their company's tlink and realizing there's 40 threads per page and many, many pages... yes, including the supposedly 'deleted' https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1fqABwgo in this case.

No secret. There is a forced distribution. Supervisors have two minutes to talk about you. Group in the room decides where you end up. Supervisor doesn’t have final say where you rank. Each supervisor has to meet the distribution with their team typically. Even people who end up in the bottom are good workers.
