Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

I’m starting a petition, maybe DW will take notice

Up vote this if you think that middle management and department heads provide no value and actually prevent other people from doing their job, lower morale, cost the company too much in lost opportunity, are the cause of good people leaving while the losers stay. Up vote this post if you think that ExxonMobil should layoff 20% of middle managers and department heads to let the rest of us do our job.

I have no doubt, it takes effort to climb the ladder, but mid way through, they seems to have drank the koolaid..... slowly and surely become one of "those" ppl. You can tell from these mental health emails, all lip service.

Most employees come to work at ExxonMobil excited and self-motivated but unfortunately it doesn't take long for this mindset to change. This is mostly due to the demeanor of the management. Morale quickly goes down and their expectations of this company start to fade. I have seen some good people leave because of Mid Managements views on workload and family life balance with the latter being a major concern. This is just what I have seen at the chemical O&A production site in Beaumont. Less Mid management and more value in their staff would be a great place to start.
