I more than tippled my total annual compensation within 3y. Age and feeling entitled won't get you a raise. Its flexibility, results, and ambition

It's at DV. Minneapolis will be consolidated into DV in the next 24 months. That's why they don't want to keep you. They'd rather you quit out of disgust instead of having to pay you severence when they shut it down.

Pay increases are directly linked to country averages. In India a higher % is available (7-10%) In US, average is 3%. Also if you are below market rate you can be assigned a higher% rise. 0% rise suggests you are well above the market value for your grade or your performance was bad.

@rra+1fxqKi5x, your attitude is quite representative of the teams I worked with in Bangalore. They were in constant churn as people were always changing jobs, building a resume without actually building skills and experience that would make them more valuable. It’s one reason why HTS staffing is viewed as simply headcount rather than valued individuals.

Where are you seeing 7% raises for under 40? I'm three years in and just had performance review-- Upper L and I got a 3% in Minneapolis. So enjoying the pay cut for exceeding all of my goals, no development actions, and ahead of everyone my age..

@1oti+1fxqKi5x Op here yes we are seeing it here too in IL. I think again they want us older people out. Also giving to younger crowd to try keep them too as we did have few leave to other companies after they got trained here.

Personnel under 40 are getting raises to match inflation: about 7%. Personnel over 40 are getting 2 - 3%. Time for a class action lawsuit for age discrimination.

Honeywell has systemically and methodically targeted older workers for decades. Even after successful lawsuits filed by employees they continue. They built HR and legal processes around doing this without retribution. So, are they doing it? YES! Will they stop? No.

They thought they had the silver bullet (Pun intended) when they cut the pension system. People just wont leave so they can be replaced by PR or Indier.

Age has nothing to do with it. You are rewarded if you sc--w others and blamed them simple as that

New leaders are encouraged to institute best practices from their culture.
I hear first up is mandatory retirement at age 60.
It only makes sense. 50 years is plenty for anyone to work.

If you haven’t changed role or responsibilities why do you expect perpetuating raises? Same work output drives same pay or less if competition exists.
Make sure you are changing roles every 2 to 5 years. If opportunities do not exist in Honeywell change companies.
If you are stagnant then your pay will be stagnant.

Did you get a zero percent raise because you were put in the outer elbow or because you are at the top of your pay grade? If at top of pay grade, will you get a cash payment?

It would be in keeping with a long pattern of behavior toward older workers.

I don't think it's really about that. it's all office politics and if you are a certain race/gender as your manager they will help get that bonus or promotion to grow you more so then age.
