Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Bonuses

All things considered, the bonus was pretty decent this year. I got my standard 15% plus an extra 5 percent kicker added on. My RSU award was equivalent to 22% of my base. My annual raise was only 1.89 percent but the bonus kicker made up for it.

I love crown.

@2exg, you’re making my point for me. You should aim higher.

@2dob, our leadership isn’t forcing us back to the office. Only one day a week that was designated purple day or whatever the he-l the EMT is calling it. Otherwise, my boss says she isn’t walking around looking for people who show up.

At crown, I decide how hard I want to work because as long as I just do the bare minimum, I’ll have a steady paycheck with bonuses at a little OT that I’m not breaking my back for. He-l, my boss is more afraid of calling me out that I am of getting in trouble for overcharging OT. If my boss says anything to me sideways, I just go to business support and let them know that she made me uncomfortable and then she will back off. I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again.

Crown will never fire me as long as I do the bare minimum to get by and keep a “crown nice” demeanor.

Hard work isn't rewarded. Adding value is. Effort doesn't matter, results do.

If you're adding value and driving results and not being rewarded then I'd be upset and look for a different job.

I took on more work than my counterparts and did not get paid for that, nor did my bonus reflect that. The harder I work, the more I get shafted. It’s really discouraging.

I also love how now the company includes the 401K match, and insurance to justify the lack of compensation.

Target is raising their base pay to $24 an hour. If retail stores can afford to pay their employees more, why can’t Crown? I know I can go elsewhere to make more money. I know to replace me, it would cost Crown more money, but they probably would just my work on my coworkers.

What the heck happened to this company??? So many red flags, and no one cares

The previous reply is a good reason your being brought back into the office, or at least hopefully you are. Your clocking OT while doing work I’m sure at a leisurely “non-stressful” pace while doing the bare minimum. No one is there to hold you accountable. Sounds like you got more than you deserved.

Yeah man. My bonus was 22.5% and I really just did the bare minimum to keep my boss off of my back. I’m not eligible for RSU but I clocked about 10 hours of OT a week on average so I’m still doing aight. Believe me, those extra 2 hours a day wasn’t anything stressful. Gotta love remote work.

Yeah bonuses were great this year luckily. Unless you were a poor performer obviously.

But they were funded at nearly 50% more than the target.
