WFH program still active?

Can anyone shed some light on if we still can request/have the ability to WFH? I work in a branch and myself and family are very high risk, I care for my grandfather who is 92 years old and I’m just nervous being exposed every day.

I requested accommodation from my doctor and was approved to stay WFH 3 days weekly, choosing 2 days in office until the end of the year. Best I could manage in a call center role.

Get a medical exemption. If possible for a non covid reason. Don’t mention covid.

EEOC has nothing to do with exemptions or hardship claims. Please do some research.

We were told we are required to return to the office 3/1 with an allowance of 2 days of wfh that we pick which were the conditions pre pandemic. The customer service area returned but they are allowed 3 days a week dictated by the LOB. Pre pandemic they were not allowed any wfh days. I went in today 3/4. Myself and 1 other person were the only ones in the office and that person was not on my team.

It doesn't make a bit of sense to me but no one cares what I think because I don't have a fancy title after my name.

The bank needs to get back to basics. It is not just about operational efficiency and our core lines of business. Employees will not genuinely care about customers if the company does not care about employees. Already seeing this happening with the recent changes.

Since they've made it clear that they want customers to use online and digital, effectively pushing the customers out of the branches, why do they need employees there. We can just help them online.

they've closed thousands or branches over the years, not caring about long time customers.

Most younger generations have never been to a branch and do not ever plan to go to one.

so why? BofA should just get with the times and become a tech-based company.

Not at branches. I hear rumors that they are going to fight EEOC claims for certain positions, and that includes branches.

EEOC claim is where you ask for an exemption, they grant it, but claim that it would present undue hardship on the company to accommodate you, effectively allowing them to terminate you.

The rumor is that retail banking, call center, brokerage customer facing are going to experience this. Hard to argue against it, as these are customer facing roles...

Personally I think this rumor is true (as I trust the source) and I think that our CEO will apply it unilaterally across the bank to all roles, since he has spoken publicly about fairness before.

Good luck to us all.
