Seems like a little "random" dr-g testing is a fine way to rid XOM of the "bottom" 10%. I've wondered why XOM has not done this easy way to avoid the negative image of having layoffs and still ridding itself of the dr-ggies.

As a former SATCU manager for the company, this is not an efficient method.
Litigation almost always follows.
30-plus Executives, by the way, are tested monthly.
Always on the 5th.
Liquid sample, to be clear. Not hair.
They all have the cards in the wallet.
Sm--k - 3 days
C0ke - 5 days
Math - 6 days
SillyCybin - 8 days
Cann1bas - 30 days
and of course Alcool - 30 minutes
I suggested maybe the Hair Sample would be more accurate for these tests.
Got pipped in '21.
If we random dr-g tested, there wouldn’t be anymore geologists…
EM does not like Dr-g Testing unless absolutely necessary for legal compliance.
EM wants to get rid of people but not randomly like dr-g testing.
EM wants to control exactly who is fired and when.
It would be substantially more than 20% walked out the door if EM conducted random testing.
I work in operations. I know engineers who smoke weed on a regular basis to take the edge off. Considering all the bu-----t they have to put up with, I don’t blame them. I would probably do the same if I don’t have kids. Honestly the extent of dr-g tolerance here is quite shocking to me because I used to work at another O&G company where people got randomly tested on both alcohol and dr-gs at least once a month. I’ve never seen anyone being tested here.
Co----e parties in Houston are common. HiPos do all kinds of nasty stuff. Many were disappointed when we moved away from the conveniently located hotel at Greenspoint along with the individual offices with no windows to the halll.

They still are. My VP told us she had to leave a meeting one time to go take her quarterly (?, it’s been awhile, I think that was the frequency) dr-g test.
I think OP is high. He needs a dr-g test asap.
Almost everyone I knew in EMIT smoked weed. If you want to drop heads that’s a good place to start.
I was an employee 78-2019.
I never knew anyone to be randomly tested.
I have always been a fan of it. And there have been times over the years it would've popped me, too. But yeah, been in the work force since 1984 and never once randomly tested.
Surly need to start this in Annandale with employees now that P-t is legal, and you maybe surprised it ain’t the bottom 10%. Contractors still have Random testing, with legalization it’s going to be dicey……good luck, third floor and HR are on something…
OP is speaking about him/herself. Get rehab pal.
Office worker here. Last time I was popped with a random dr-g test was in the late 00’s while at GP8. It’s really rare in my experience outside of ops positions
VP were tested in the past at Greenspoint.
EM seems to have a policy against dr-g testing employees except for obvious cause.
I have visited EM sites with mixed employee and contact persons and always upon entry every contractor dr-g tested and zero employees tested. It was embarrassing for the employees to be skipped over while every contractor tested. I was told that this was EM policy.
If everyone was dr-g tested in the corporation, we might be PIP'ing 25%. Recreational use of dr-gs, especially ma------a and co----e, is rampant in today's culture.
BTW, ma------a can be detected in your system for 25+ days.

Plot twist is the hipos all do coke to keep up with the workload! Why would Exxon want to not control who gets the can!
I always wondered about this as well, back in my offshore days we were tested randomly which I understand given the nature of operations. However when I transitioned to an office based role I ,nor anyone I heard about ,was ever tested. I’m sure the company could catch quite a few weekend warriors with a random test.
