Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF stock is currently actually LOWER than when Charlie was onboarded

In what universe is this performance considered acceptable?

I don't know, getting paid $30M / year for minimal production is pretty genius. Not at all helpful to anyone else, but hey, he's not worried about anyone else.

Yes, Charles in Charge has been a drain for all of us.

That is wild, stock was beat up when he started and is now materially down with inflation. I bet he thought “nowhere to go but up” when he took the gig =)

Charlie is on his way out and doesn't know it yet. Watch and see. He has no game or morals. Just a little b1tch.

@nuf+1g2PaD4o - Chuck is a thief and a con artist. Far from a genius. He had put zero thought into the strategy for Wells and has accomplished even less in his time here.

He did the same thing with BK.

Flat price = significant loss, thanks to inflation. $49 right now is not the same as $49 when Charles came on board. Not even close.

@nuf misspelled "rip off artist"

Bragging that Charlie doubled his money while the stock has meandered lower proves the point.

But........ he dumped $5 million into stock when it was at $26 or so??? He’s darn near doubled his money. He’s a genius

Charlie does have skills and leadership beyond cutting things. Just look at the mess he created at Mellon Bank. Lower your expectations friend.

Charlie's track record at Mellon Bank sums it up very well. No leadership skills.

That’s why the company brought on a JP Morgan guy to head up the board of directors… thus ensuring a lack of accountability for poor performance

Charlie only knows a few tricks - stock buy backs and cutting budgets. No real leadership or abilities.

Correction from my previous comment. Wells Fargo is down 4% since Charlie’s hiring

Yep WFC is down 2% since Charlie’s hire date. Meanwhile XLF which is the ETF that tracks the US banking sector is up 36%
