We must really be hurting for experienced engineers as I am seeing posts today for principal engineers who only have 10 years experience and a BS degree. They must be really good at reading GP’s?

Dude it is just a made up title. We have stupid people from CSR in the Upstream who do not know anything about technology, failed at lowly management roles, and now are running around calling themselves Principal. This place is a charade of fraud. Every other principal is no better.
This is a commodity company.
All the engineering is done in the Accounting department.

Well they did take a giant hatchet to the 40 year olds during the layoff to get rid of pension liability. I guess this is the result.
