I just read 2 articles one about BofA and the other one about Google.
BofA article was saying that bofa is skipping hybrid mode and going straight to 5 days in office one. Also article mentioned that in SanFrancisco big employers are in bed with SF mayor who wants people to come to the city and spend money there. My personal goal is to spend close to zero of my money in this city that looks like wasteland thanks to the same mayor.
Google article was an interview with ex-hr who said that most of the companies will be back to 5 days in the office within next 2-3 years. He gave two reasons: 1) people who will be in the office will be getting perks/promotions more likely vs employees who either hybrid or wfh. 2) we still have too many “old school dinosaurs” leaders who want to rule people in the office and not remotely. Most of those leaders want 5days in the office now the only thing that keep them at bay is employees-work-market.
What do you think?
