Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

XOM salary adjusted x inflation

I calculated my xom salary adjusted by inflation.

It' been flat since 2014.

14 years in the company. Two CL promotions.

I have always been ranked in the middle.

But the Uncon Development Planning Manager said inflation wasn’t going to happen! He studied it a lot and it was temporary. Sounds like he watches too much CNN.

Yes, EM went from top pay and is lowering the payscales across the board in the US. EM ain't what it used to be and no longer wants to be cream of the cream in the Industry I suppose it'll take another 10 years to get this point across

My starting salary as a college graduate in 2014 was $104k, which with inflation would be roughly $125k today. What’s sad is the starting salary these days is I think down to $99k?
The raises over the years have been sh-t. 8 years later my college mates have not only caught up to me, but some surpassed me. I recently left and now make around $175k.

If you can’t find something that pays more, then it sounds like you are overpaid!

Time to ship your job over to the BTC!

Good luck with another ranking cycle!
