Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Major Technical Support restructuring coming to Team of Experts! More jobs are being moved overseas, US jobs being slashed.

Major restructuring coming to the Technical Support side of Team of Experts. I just got out of a meeting and things are looking pretty grim.

  1. )Specialized Technical Care is being sunsetted by Q3, all reps will have the choice to be demoted to Customer Care or if your experience center has the positions you can go to Technical Support. The goal is to offer 6 Technical Support positions per site to help absorb Specialized Technical Care. The remaining agents will be transitioned to Customer Care. Severence will not be offered as agents have the option to return to Customer Care.
  1. ) As Specialized Technical Care is being sunsetted, Home Internet support will be taken on by regular Technical support. Outsource ranks will be bolstered as they continue to take on Home Internet, Technical Support and former Specialized Technical Care duties.
  1. )Multiple experience centers will see restructuring by 2023. There are currently talks of converting some of the Team of Experts sites to Technical Support, those Team of Experts jobs will be moving to service partners.
  1. ) New Technical Support sales metrics are in the works. Specifically, Home Internet and Digits sales metrics will be introduced to the Technical Support team in the coming months.
  1. ) Two existing Care sites are going to be closed by 2023. If you are in a low-performing Customer Care site you might want to start looking for a new job, the closures appear to be based on site stack rankings.
  1. ) Select stores will be getting more advanced training on Technical Support .
  1. ) T-Force is set to begin piloting service partner Technical Support specific assistance.

Whoever wrote this was right. I am in Specialized Technical Care and was told today that we need to brace for major changes. Considering 2 of our leaders just quit, something really bad is looming. We haven't hired anyone in a year and we were also told that our department is not hiring anyone at all anymore.

I can tell you for sure that we are not outsourcing any more.

I am honestly not one bit shocked. T-Mobile has gone mental in the last 3 months. My boss just got fired today for not being vaccinated, my 2 coaches prior to that have quit and found new jobs. I remember when this company was actually a good place to work, it is horrible now.

I can attest that what they are saying is true. I had a meeting with leadership today as well. They didn't directly say we were getting rid of Specialized Technical Support here in Albuquerque but they said a lot of pretty alarming things that sounds like it's being outsourced sometime pretty soon. They also told us to not talk about it.

This is 100% wrong. None of that is happening. Who specifically told you that?

Well, 2 years since the close was finalized. We knew that this was when the reductions would begin.
