I worked 4 10s for a few years. It was great! I was able to pull Mon-Thu. Nice 3 day weekends all the time.
Unless the woke crowd want it, no.
The south side did it back in ‘94 and it worked well. We had alternating two and four day weekends. I’m not sure if there was much of a bump in productivity though there must have been a bump in savings on fuel.
Did it in the line gang 27 yrs ago. It was nice to be off 3 days but there was some conflict vacation hours etc. Back then we didn't have option to use only 2 hours at a time.

I'd work Wed thru Saturday and the next week work Sunday thru Wed. 8 days of work followed by 6 days off. And because of the extra 4 hrs pay for Sunday I'd be gone at 2Pm on Wed and headed to the cabin with my 40 hours in the bank. If I got a couple hrs of OT I'd just take Wednesday as E time (non paid) and have 7 days off.
Seniority has its privileges.
It's been so slow at work for the last year and a half that we're only working about 1 day per week as it is. Productivity is at around 20-25% per month. Something's got to give at this point because how long will the bean counters in finance be able to deal with this low level of productivity? A four day work week could easily be implemented in my organization!

Most employees are really only working a couple days a week in terms of productivity right now.
Been there, done that. Was done in California for some managers about 30 years ago. We employees loved it, bosses not so much. Although they liked telling us to make our appointments for Dr., etc. they complained about scheduling meetings. (We all worked either Mon-Thurs, or Tues-Fri, so schedule meeting on Tues through Thurs, duh!). I think they thought we were working less hours, probably true since no one wanted to stay late after working 10 hours. We eventually lost it and had to go back to 5 days. It was all about control. It was good while it lasted.
That will require work force planning, which isn’t done at T.
Why would anyone want that? Add an extra day to the current 5 day schedule. Additional time to achieve goals.
