Thread regarding IBM layoffs

HA HA HA .... All That Churn Just To End The Mandates After A Few Short Months

It may not have been obvious at the time but mandates could only ever be a short term proposition. But this was really short. So short that the damage that it managed to inflict (on morale, trust, etc.) is ridiculous.

ALL EMPLOYEES?
So all managers, account teams and contractors will work from the office now?
I would have to see it to believe it.

So get behind the wheel and get your ar-e back in the office so they can avoid any Management layoffs. Unless of course you work for HR in that case you get to remain WFH cuz nobody should hear all those secretive discussions about how to discriminate legally.

To "What Happened?":

IBM HR announced on 4/4/2022 that as of 6/1/2022, IBM US offices are OPEN TO ALL EMPLOYEES (vaccinated or not). Unvaccinated employees will have their badge reactivated that day. You are not allowed to ask your co-workers about their vaccination status. Management wants the teams back in the office (co-location is making a return) and I would say they expect everyone to be in the office AT LEAST 2-3 days per week on a hybrid schedule.

Personally....I am happy to be retiring on May 31 2022 and avoiding this whole mess!

Just think of how easy all of this would have been if everyone had properly masked up and gotten vaccinated.

Insteady the dr-g the whole world down to their level.
