Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Thoughts on the survey communication?

Are they really trying to see which is our preference or continue to preach this false narrative that the office is better for us. I mean if you really want to find out how most people feel just send the survey without the selling points. Unbelievable!

This should have been so easy for them, but instead they are continuing to push their agenda and think we are too stupid to see it.

Q1: How do you prefer to work:
WFH/remote full time
WFH/remote part-time
Be in "Office" full time

Done.

Positions/roles will have to be determined as to whether or not they would qualify as having to be in person based on actual need.

Hilarious.
Love how they continue to sell all the talking points that aren’t as impressive as they think for most associates.

I think the announcements from Wells & JP Morgan about offering hybrid has BofA scrambling to throw something together that looks halfway like they are attempting to explore hybrid. They’re probably in a literal panic, at the thought of how many employees could potentially leave to those banks that are now offering folks more flexibility.

@fvw+1g76MMe8 The annual survey isn’t merely about employee engagement - it’s the company as a whole and your team & manager feedback (there are sometimes surveys for employee engagement specifically but I don’t think that’s what you’re actually referring to here). Only mentioning this because Some people get the annual corporate survey and actual employee engagement surveys confused… And what they don’t realize is that the people who have to do the employee engagement stuff just get direction from higher ups to plan events - then they have to stress about how to be creative and make everyone happy, and then deal with getting leaders to approve before they’re down to the last minute and have to rush and stress even more to get the job done (on top of their daily routines). Have people give negative feedback on the employee engagement events it only comes down to as a failure for the people in the line level who did all the stressful planning and logistics. :-(

I wish they would just hire a team that goes around to LOBs and plans the events (they require a full time job)z

In my opinion, the email does not seem to be trying to solicit opinions about where you want to work but how they can make the office more appealing. I hope I am wrong and they will seriously consider at least hybrid for most.

I'll try to find the time to answer but I will probably be busy eating cupcakes

I mean read the room. How d-mb are they? Just come out with a hybrid option already. All the surveys and delays are just further pi----g off good talent and a lot are walking and those left are demotivated and slacking.

The corporate propaganda on these emails is nauseating. I don’t know who loves going into the office but all of the people in my department are not exciting in the least and bringing in some cupcakes or chocolate isn’t going to fix it. These managers and there antiquated ways of doing these are only going to continue to push good employees to the door to other companies

  1. Hoping they ask if we have any team members, clients or working partners in our work site.
  2. Have to laugh at them putting out the workplace questionnaire in advance of the annual employee engagement survey.

We’ll have to see the questions, but seems like they are holding up their end on the promised survey on workplace preferences.
