I still suspect that Business Field Services is under consideration to be spun off as a separate business of itself or sold off to the highest bidder. It's very strange that suddenly there is very little work nationwide! Not sure why or what exactly is going on with this business unit! Is anyone able to shed light on this slowdown in available work?

The company will shrink to adjust to the smaller size of the business. There are 2 fewer board seats already, now comes the elimination of multiple CEOs, Presidents, SVPs etc. Re-leveling is going to be widespread across levels 1-5 the bloodbath starts Monday
T is forced to slim down the 11 layers of management. They really don’t have a choice at this juncture. The company has to become more agile and leaner. You can’t remove union, mgmt level 1 and 2, then keep the rest. They will push people down levels or into lower level vacancies. The competent people will leave and the incompetent will remain. Get ready for a very rough few years. SBC folks lived this when the company bought all of those companies in the early 2000’s. They will spin it to make sht look like diamonds. But as most of us know, sht will never be a diamond regardless of how many times we are told it is.
I see very limited impact to the business if Chow leaves. Maybe she could start an online blog about all the wonderful things she sends in her emails. She’s more socially and culturally focused than business.
Don't believe everything you read or hear! T seems to be more in a reactive mode than a preemptive one. That's how they roll, they take care of their C-Suite personnel and reduce the head count everywhere else. We'll just have to wait and see what happens after the WM spin-off! My org has almost no work, yet management keeps telling us "it's coming, but we don't know when!" Yet, thankfully, there will be no downsizing in our organization! That's precisely why I don't believe there will be any C-suite personnel impacted!
Spin off AT&T Fiber is the next shoe to drop. Apple buy AT&T Mobility.
Will wireless and wireline be split up? Mobility is the only chance at growth everything else is on a downward spiral.
Less leadership is needed when sell 50% off your assets off. AT&T will just be your ole telco Mobility & Fiber provided. Not a hard strategy, fiber build out and sell sh-t.
Losing Anne would be pretty rough on the business imo. I can’t comment on arroyo. Not sure how valid this even is though tbh. I know shakeups are coming but this would be a huge shakeup.
