Not even giving notice could go without stress. The manager was "surprised" by my decision to leave. Do they really think that employees will indefinitely continue to put up with their lame excuses for why the company cannot provide them with better working conditions?

Contact your admin. More than likely your admin is your timekeeper. If your admin is like most at EM, they get the least pay, but help keep the wheels from falling off in the office. My admin. was the person who held it all together during the chaos of the last few years. but unfortunately she got screwed over in ranking. She’s heading out for an early retirement.
You do have to contact your timekeeper. They won’t fill out the paperwork without your electronic signature.
The admin usually calculates the remaining vacation and carryover, then gets the manager to sign it. If you had an admin, I would suggest contacting that person. If you didn't have an admin who did your timekeeping, then whoever you reported to.
It depends on how organized your dept is, as to if it would be taken care of "automatically", or forgotten about.
I resigned with no notice, now I’m trying to figure out how to get my last paycheck and vacation payout. The letter I received says I have to contact my timekeeper and have them authorize pay in lieu of vacation. Do I really have to email my supervisor and ask for that, or will it eventually just be deposited in my account?
