Dear Employers,
We don't want to go back to the office full-time. We save so much time without the commute. And we see our family more.
If you don't let us work from home, another company will.
Sincerely,
The Global Workforce

It’s not a human need, it’s a human right. They can’t make us go back to work with all the stress of getting covid, driving in traffic, finding a parking spot, and what to have for lunch, not to mention the wasted time spent in traffic, and the wasted money on gas. Driving is bad for the environment. We need a work life balance. I don’t live to work.
Any job the can be done at home in your pajamas and fuzzy slippers can be done from anywhere in the world remotely. This includes our wonderful folks in low cost centers willing to undercut your wages and take food from you and your family’s table.
We’re “equal” and one team but employees in India are starting at $8,000-10,000.
Employees are the most important assets in ExxonMobil. It’s just not you.
It should be team and role dependent. But it should be official policy to allow it when appropriate.
This might work for some people within specific job roles but is not a sustainable model for most of our work. How do you develop people, how do you create relationships, how do you learn and teach effectively.
I’m sympathetic about most posts on this site but it is not a layoff question. It’s more about socialism.
I disagree. I prefer to work at the office. Why don’t you live closer to the office if your commute is too long? Do you work at a plant in the middle of nowhere like Cowboy in NM?
But… you might be missing “food truck Friday!”
