All it’ll do is generate more work for middle management to develop and ideas to attempt to resolve issues that are really out of their control and won’t actually influence the structural change and programs that are required. If the MC and senior execs are really passionate about LCS, perhaps they need to focus on their people or there won’t be anyone left to solve the energy challenges they hope to achieve.

BTW, I have filled out 2 surveys in the past 7 years and the products were GROWING WITH PURPOSE & WE ARE XOM.

Bottom line, things kept on getting worse. YOU CANNOT CHANGE A NASTY CULTURE WITH A SURVEY

They will massage the results to tell the story they wish to share with the general workforce.

It’s even doubtful that the top executives will get anything unfiltered as well.

It also provides false hope for the long haulers that need something to satisfy there desire for things to get better.

We sure hope so. Those of us who work at the O&A chemical plant in Beaumont need to be heard. Management and the good ol' boy network has pulled the moral to a all time low. Excessive overtime and favoritism is just one of the downfalls here. Its a pity when people strive so hard to work for a Good company only to find out all that glitters is not gold. Work and family life is of no concern here only Mangement's "how will this help me" attitude. They preach the importance of communication in this business but the only ones being heard are the ones on top of the pile. So yes we sure hope that this survey shines some light on a very dark place and exposes what hides here.

I have filled out similar
Surveys in the past, brutally honest.

The published, supposedly all inclusive survey results including open format answers did not include any of my statements.

They filter out the truth and manipulate the data to support the previously decided actions.
