Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Survey Tracking

Our team was told today to get our surveys completed asap because our VP is tracking completions and no one on our team has completed the survey.
If they track the completion do you really think the results are anonymous.

The survey contained 29 perception questions for ranking and 1 text question on how your team can change. This is the corporate way to control the narrative, defining the problems isn't any new year over year. Perception on individual and team work is high, perception on executives and company competitiveness is low, big surprise. You don't need to be a data scientist to see that are no significant shift in trends.

Within your team, there isn't a need for company wide survey to figure out what changes can be implemented within the team's control. What they really don't want to ask you, it is how to fix the big problems that you are most interested in: revenue growth, pay, benefits & career development.

I filled out my survey the day it came out. Since then, my team got no less than 15 reminders from everyone in the food chain to complete the survey. Not sure how it can be called ‘voluntary’ when they hound you to fill it out!

Only the most naive of the $tupid believe these surveys are anonymous....

If you REALLY think they are anonymous try putting some kind of thre@t in one of the comments.

Don't want to test it? Then you also do not believe it is anonymous, so admit it...

With each batch of new employees since the mid 90's the bar gets lower.

Just unbelievable......

My boss hunted me down for not filling out the anonymous survey and "encouraged" me to do it. They need to look good to upper management and tell them all is right with moral

The survey take rate at VP/AVP levels are a joke. You have most of the GM's (3rd and 4th) and 80% or greater because the survey is highly encouraged (wink wink).... Then the workforce has a take rate of 25%-30%. Perfect example how AT&T can ruin a good thing.

filled it out and left everything blank. you bet I don't answer honestly: did one year and was dressed down by my supervisor. tell me how it's anonymous if he knew to dress me down for my answers? (which were negative because the firings based on whether or not you lived near a tiered office location)

It is definitely not anonymous, I was part of the team to review the “confidential” results and develop a plan based on the answers provided. What a joke.

"Team"
Sure thing.
You're not on a team.
Your "team" cares nothing about you.
You go to work to get a check.
This is how they get folks to care, even though they'd rather you quit.
AT&T is a horrible place to work in the last 25 years.
Keep drinking the "team" kool aid.
Maybe if they worried more about their cr@ppy customer service, get some agents who we can understand, quit apologizing 50 times and just fix my issue they'd be better off.
And it's Sunday.
I'm working today so I get a 3 day weekend next week.
I've done zero all day except park by a hut and go eat breakfast at the restaurant next store.
Then take a nap in the sun by a ped for 20 minutes.
Moved the truck twice and did the same thing.
I'm getting $65 an hour for this.
Used $70 bucks worth of gas in the V10 bucket just driving around.
3 hours to go.
I'm actually bored.
Hence, my posts here.
And they're broke.
hahahahahahaha

I fill it in and I've told my boss the same things I said there. I want my vacation and benefits back and nothing else matters to me.

Seems like every time there is a survey layoffs follow about 2 quarters later

It was better in COR retail whent listed all the managers name in store and you could direct it toward each of them!!

The survey I filled out the other day had one question I remember from a survey years ago. The question is basically How long are you staying at AT&T? The last time I remember this question being asked, the head cutting began. 2.5 more years to go. Can't wait.

lots of tough talk here about how bad the management is but no one has the stones to really speak up when given the chance.

e-mail says it's confidential, but there's an asterisk next to confidential directing you to read the full-disclosure.

Rest-assured they know who is saying what. Many of these work-groups are small. A manager or director can figure out who the loose-cannon is making wise-cracks about woke-culture, C-Suite looting, and discriminatory HR practices.

Next round of layoffs you'll see who ran their mouth on the survey comments.

It's anonymous. Although your supervisor probably knows who uses "looser" when he/she means "loser."

I always fill them out with the highest approval possible. In the section allowing me to comment, I always respond with “I was threatened by management to complete this survey. All responses are reflective of the level of intimidation received and not reflective of real or accurate circumstances. It is clear that my employment was in question if this survey was not completed with the responses given.”

I'm paid to fix stuff.
I'm good at it.
Not paid to rate the boss, the company, and to be honest, they really don't care.
If I like something, they'll change it so I don't.
If I don't like something, they'll laugh and congratulate each other.
I'll not participate, just be sure the check is deposited on time every other Friday.
That's my only concern.

The best thing you could do is not turn it in. All upper mgmt this year is being scored in return rate. The less we turn in the better chance we actually see positive change.

Did anyone think the surveys were actually anonymous?

they're anonymous in the sense that your name isn't attached to them, but they can figure who sent them if they want to. The feedback and written comments get rolled-up under VPs/Directors/AMs, so they can fit together who is saying what, especially if you work in a small group.

Sc--w them. Complete it and write something in the comments section too. Don't be vulgar, but don't be a wimp. They are a bunch of greedy cowards, bowing to the woke mob while targeting older workers who don't fit their new demographic model.

Take a stand and don’t take them. That will send a message. VP will get in trouble for low take rate.

Maybe we could just submit a completely blank survey. Someone would probably get a bonus because our return rate was so high :)

NO. They track everything and assume employees are stupid.
They used to tell us that they didn't track United Way giving. And those that didn't "give" were called in to reconsider and "donate". Same for those that "didn't give their fair share". I was busy supporting my church, helping my wife's parents, my parents, a disabled brother, gave to my local food bank & because I didn't "donate" their suggested amount - I was squeezed. They assume we are all stupid.
