Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Non Transformation journey

We're nearly 3 years in to Mike's transformation journey but turnover is still dropping, staff are paid low, growth is a pipe dream, same old legacy Hp/csc legacy middle managers think they are running the company.

Dxc time came and went, still not roled out, dxc duplication bureaucracy busters came and went - legacy managers make you fill out more duplicate timesheets.

All you get is management focussed on cuts, they couldn't grow the company if you paid them.

What's changed? Nothing much in 3 years

Make sure the idea is formed in the shape of an actual log, before you file it.

+1g9gWb2W - No excuses for limp time scales in the future that likely won't be met, DXC should have transformed itself Digitally within the first 1-2 years of formation and should be a class leader in DT field and becoming more innovative, class leading and leading their clients expertly in the digital transformation field

I don't understand the negative reactions for @dyk+1g9gWb2W.
Implementing platform-x using the Cloud Right approach will help to seize the market and grow the business.
This will expand the offerings of DXC for all layers of the Enterprise Technology Stack in a data driven way.
Using this approach the transformation journey will end in 2029. Then making real progress will start.
This process might be improved by adding additional EVPs in combination with WFR. The future for DXC is bright.
We just have to wait :-)

DXC have always been on that Jiurney (a word you don’t here anymore as most companies have transformed digitally and are growing. DXC is always trying to stabilise and never getting there. Once it stabilises, the next stage was to grow. Obviously the reverse happened, so they started another journey as if pretending the first journey was just merely getting to the bus stole. This has to go down as one of the longest transformation journeys in history - and this from a firm that is supposed to accelerate the customer’s own transformation journey.

TCS just posted 7.4% increase over their last quarter - folks wake up. We can beat them. Let us all rally behind Brady! The new and bold leader. We can do it.

Nothings being cut from Mr Shout's pay check or renumeration package, doesn't care about people below him or how well the company is going down and viewing this job as a stepping stone in getting as much $$ as he can from it before leaving with a good renumeration package.

Whilst DXC continues to focus solely on in-quarter results, there will be no transformation.

Mikey, please repeat after me: "You cannot cut your way to long-term growth and profitability." Now, Mikey, keep repeating it until you start to get it! (It may take him a while)

It's just all blagging, every quarter they tell Wall Street they are turning around, growth is about to happen, etc.

Do you remember "sieze the market" that came and went.

When most of the middle management is focussed on cuts your never going to grow, you need folks who are going to expand, the managers who come up with strategy focussed on cuts should be pulled to one side re trained or fired.

Meanwhile Hr chief gets over $1million every quarter to spin it out.

I've done the digital journey 2013-2016. I left DXC when they started their digital journey (3 years behind schedule 2017-date) and I've worked with some real innovative companies since. The days of DXC outsourcing came and went - they lost their way, their edge, their innovation and fell into the background. Its nice to see they are still trying to stay above water.

DXC has been on a transformative journey since the csc days, it’s the ultimate smoke and mirrors, forever on the journey of transforming nothing. Corporate mumbo jjumbo.

If I hear transformation journey or Digital transformation journey one more time I'll pu-e! We sold so called digital transformation to our customers, how could we sale something that ha taken us 4 years and were still not done?

Digital Transformation used to be what System Analyst used to do, convert outdated manual processes to computer systems, that was being done 50 years ago. Nothing new at all!

Thats a great strategy.
Now it is a formal initiative, everyone can log ideas.

That means, the responible persons. Process owners, managers are idealess, shifting responsibility to the single employee. Just time consumption. A way to avoid changes.

"Don't complain about a broken or redundant process. File a improvement first."

Sure. As always, we are soon before real progress.
Waiting on real progress since 2017.
But sure, this quarter, or next quarter.

not sure where (if) the OP works, dxc time came and is still there - great simplification; bureaucracy buster aka dxc simplification evolved into a formal initiative where everyone from every region can log ideas which are evaluated and if valuable implemented.

We are making progress - new EVP for delivery ; Platform-X ; Cloud Right. Results coming out this quarter that we are making real progress.

Nothing has changed and nor will it.
After another 15-18 months of lack of progress we'll get a new Mikey as discussed in other posts and we can start all over again with a new "Rinse & Repeat"
