Follow your leaders example. Maximize what cash you can extract. Do the bare minimum. When you get a better deal, just leave. No notice, just the same way they do when they RIF people. As they say, nothing personal, just business.

to Morpheous - "Boomers" represents a looooong period.
Many folks from the last third of the "Boomer" cohort missed out on the "whole career at one company" trend too and very few "retired" from a company after long service!
Does anybody still believe they're retiring from anywhere?
Long term careers at one company are a thing of the past and have been for quite a while.
Retiring is a very loose term. It really only means that you left the workforce permanently. There are no (zero) retirement benefits at Fiserv. Not even a parting gift. However that is common everywhere now other than Union jobs or the Military.
Retire at Fiserv? Their retirement package sucks. They give you like a 3% 401k match and their pay is way below market rate.
I went to another company, got a 50% pay bump, they also give you stock options, annual raise and annual bonus. Benefits all paid for and they give you actual perks like discounts and unlimited PTO.
I guess if your standards you can continue to nutride Fiserv.
Frnk should be forcibly retired from Slyserv and imprisoned in his NJ building
After more than 20 years of outstanding reviews I was RIF’d adding years more I needed to work to retire. They knew that and took joy in it. That’s the type of people that run fiserv
Let’s keep giving the jobs to India where they work for peanuts and now to a statue of Frank. It’s time to end the work immigration visas
I exited on my terms. I was hoping for a RIF but it didn’t come fast enough. I left on my terms to a new place.
Since I didn’t take a RIF I didn’t have an arbitration clause and I can get to say what I want.
Fiserv was ok just that. Departed and made more at a remote only F/T job. I expect to retire from it soon. Again on my schedule.
Best wishes to my former colleagues. If you really want to be awfulness there it is quite possible at higher salary and remote work regardless of what a few want to cast FUD at you.
I did. I’m now devsecops f/t remote and enjoying time with my family.
No concerns with Alpharetta or New Jersey. I work where I want. My boss is good with that.
I am retiring not by choice in a few months because of RTO. I wanted to work a few more years, but that is not happening. You dedicate 25 years to a company and they tell you adios.
Yes. People are counting on it. They might not know what day Fiserv will retire them, but once it comes they will be retired.
Retiring at a company you worked at for decades is a luxury boomers had. Now we have to jump from sinking ship to sinking ship competing with outsourcing to get just a fraction of the economic opportunity. Its only going to get worse btw
Kind Regards,
Morpheus
I believe that ship has sailed for anybody under 50.
