The verbiage says nothing would prohibit you from returning as a contractor. Time away used to be 60 day separation required. It was reduced once to 30 days. Also, it can be shortened with an exception at the correct level.

All employees are currently on a one year contract. Contractors have more job security.

Because contractors don’t have to do a lot of the bu-----t stuff like employees. Ranking for example.
