Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Place is falling apart

As I walk around campus, it just feels like a business on the decline. My evidence, toilets being broken for months, algae on building exterior surfaces, grass growing over road, shrubbery dying and left in place, trash in miscellaneous places, counters left dirty, carpets with stains, workers leaving, and several areas may have twenty desk, but are dark and not a single occupant present.

Why would someone want to come and work at a place looking like this? Take a look as you are on campus and see if you agree with “This place is dying?”

Now that we have put Dallas up for sale the next ones should be the HC and Annandale. They are a waste of money and DW doesn't want to keep them in good shape. So, sell them and let's all move back to the refineries and chem plants in trailers. There DW, I've found your new extra 3 billions in savings. Come and smell the hydrocarbons baby...all day long. It is good for your health.

Had a piece of suspended ceiling fall in my area.
The backside indeed was a colorful scramble of molds, some inches high.
The yellow and pink ones were moving, I swear.
Like a coral reef.
I took a sample.

We should have just leased the vacant Enron building in downtown Houston instead of building a new campus in The Woodlands.

In 2015, the value of our Spring Campus was $1.04 billion. HCAD has appraised the campus three times so far.

In 2013, it valued the property at $99.3 million and in 2014 at $529.7 million. We paid nearly $40 million in 2015 property taxes for the campus.

Second the Baton Rouge comment... imagine a 40s army barrack with leaks. Had to replace a monitor because mildew grew on the screen over the weekend.

Whoever made the comment about ‘colored person’…you should be ashamed of yourself. You’re the exact type of person who doesn’t belong in our company or, really, in any modern society.

You’re a true waste of oxygen.

Just wait until the holiday decorations go up in the fall. That budget is higher than the maintenance budget for half our NA manufacturing sites. It’ll look better in a few months.

Delusional. What are you comparing campus to, Disney land? It's an office not a spa. By far the nicest, cleanest, and best building I've worked in.

"Guess you've never had to sleep in someone else's dirty sheets...." Getting educated is sounding a whole lot better.

Guess you've never had to sleep in someone else's dirty sheets because all the trailers are full and the site is out of space. Or sleep in your truck for days at a time.

Staggered by the things you people find to complain about. Go work at a regional site - go sit in a control room in a refinery or chem plant. You sheltered little child.

show me an uglier, less clean place than the campus? honestly, go work for another company. You people should complain about actual issues rather than, oh sad face emoji my basically brand new office building has long grass. Unbelievable.
