@ejo, oil companies aren't NEARLY as bad as the shyster companies that actively sabotage our only feasible energy. They steal our money and build massive, useless wind turbines and photovoltaic complexes in our front yards. And they raise all our electric bills to cover the additional infrastructure required for them.
This is part of broad ESG initiatives.

lol, hyperbole much? You should read about previous fuel transitions throughout history. Kerosene to gas / electric, for example. There was no trillion dollar government boondoggle / corruption necessary to make the transition happen. It was economically viable and beneficial to do so, and the market funded the transition. I hate to be the bearer of breaking news, but 100% of the government involvement in this area is nothing more than a money/power grab. The people doing it have carbon footprints bigger than Godzilla and don't give an S about the environment in any way. It's about getting rich and getting / maintaining power. They also don't care if poor people get screwed in the process, so you have good company there.
Meanwhile, WF chose to put 100,000 people on the road to get to work, so no hypocrisy there either. Good for me, not for thee, is the sanctimonious elitist creed.

Because oil companies are incentivized to actively sabotage green energy initiatives as they psychotically corrupt our governments to extract every last drop of oil to make a buck as the world burns? They should not be provided more resources to do this, and they are not hurting for funds. And I am totally fine with everyone paying more for green energy, the poor included, even if it never catches up to par with fossil fuels.
I would prefer not to be an oil consumer, but that's not a realistic choice modern society has presented me with, it's everywhere. I am sure you have your own pet peeves about society at large, but nevertheless you participate in it. That does not make you some hypocrite for not moving to the moon to live by your convictions.

If you ever drive or buy anything that was ever delivered by a truck, you're an oil consumer. If you can explain why it's ok for you to consume oil, but it's not ok for WF to loan an oil company money, I'm all ears.
Also, when you limit financial access and excessively regulate/tax oil, guess who will be most negatively impacted by the increased costs? Yep. Poor people. Minorities. Nice going. Might as well mug the poor and/or kick them while they are down.

Good grief. We should be willing to work with any legal business. We're a bank and need to start acting like one. We can not afford to be discriminatory.
Activist are running the shop now. Next step is having race based hiring quotes and tying compensation to it, oh wait they are doing that. If your white and wonder why you can't move internal its because management has quotas. They get around this saying managers are required to hire the best person for the job, but if your getting an extra 5-10% in bonus your doing it.
