Security Sales is the big mess and chaos....SA, TSA and SE clueless. They visit our shop regularly to position with fancy power point deck and not able to answer any question. Are these people really hands-on or powerpoint only?

Cisco old-timer here who went to customer side:

We migrated our medium sized enterprise firewall from Cisco three months ago. Sad to say and sorry to see it go, Cisco was really good to me; the competition firewall is indeed awesome. Sad to see it in a way. Once you start loosing the enterprise firewall, it is just a matter of time before the rest of the network goes to competition over subsequent refresh cycles.

The really sad part is the older mountain of Cisco gear we have will still be around for quite some time, with the new firewall the older Cisco stuff can still run well, now with bare-boned stripped down configs as the critical firewall side has been offloaded.

Best of luck for those staying. Cisco gear will be out there for some time, demoted to stripped down enterprise packet pushers, dependent on other competitor firewalls to protect the network.

You can only have bad numbers for so long before cleaning house starts. They need to get rid of the Americas VP of security sales and the Americas security engineering director too in addition to the global security engineering VP.

Based on the many complaints about SB on this forum over recent months, I would think a lot of people will be happy to see her go. I expect her 'resignation' was more like being escorted to the exit door. Same w/ 2 AppD VPs who announced their 'resignations' today.

Why try and build a security portfolio of bad code and horribly mashed together parts of 10 different solutions when you can just buy competitors who's solutions works. Cisco security solution is over priced and underpowered and underdeveloped. The only security you will find is in knowing you can call TAC and not get your issues resolved.

Lack of executive leadership, transparency, and accountability is missing. SB and her VP Engineering friend are in over their heads, this is per several directors that have left.
