Cuts to contractors and SOWs will happen soon as tech budgets now have issues. Not sure how we can get to May and not have budgets and head counts in good standing. Hope FTEs are not next.

All contractors were cut in our department and we’re on a hiring freeze as well.
Every third Thursday of the month is the day for displacement announcements. This year we can anticipate this being a standard event and no line of business is safe.
Who cares? I prefer a package than staying at this wf inferno he'll. When you are seeing half of the FTEs left and the are not hiring back the same amount of FTEs. You would want to be the next to get a package Rather than the ones staying with endless unpaid Overtime days.
The big cut coming next week

This allows them to get around the 18 month thing for contractors.
I'm not sure how/why we keep accepting the failure of our HR department to manage our headcount properly so we don't have to resort to hiring contractors to fill needed roles in a timely fashion.

Typical failed Chase management style. No surprise to anyone who knew how these people operated there.
How do you know this? Common sense?
