Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

It's not all about the numbers

I know the attrition is being seen by management as a good thing, but in this case, it's not all about the numbers. It's not the same if you're losing five or ten percent of your overall workforce and losing five or ten percent of people who are your top talent. And that's exactly what's been happening. This has all the makings of turning into a major headache for the company down the line.

Top talent comes in as much as it goes out but institutional knowledge mainly just goes out. That's the real concern.

"Top people are paid the most", not at all true. The bank is loosing and has lost huge operational efficiency capability. You have a new hire that gets paid the same and is absolutely not able to even do 20% of the work in the same amount of time. It is a ridiculous statement for any professional white collar position.

The top people are paid the most. This is a win.
