Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

The long baking sabbatical

It has been over two years since the VP of Cisco Collaboration took a "temporary" leave of absence so she could spend time with her kids and do some "baking".

When she left the ELT pretended she would be coming back and that she would have a big role to play. I wonder what the real story was?

Also, what happened to the other employees who came to Cisco as a result of the Accompany acquisition?

Two years of baking (bo-g style) is a permanent lifestyle change that would lead anyone not to ever want to come back to work.

Low grade employees are eliminated quickly by layoffs. VPs are given 9-12 months to prepare for their departure announcement, and are allowed to step away gracefully or take advisory roles as a transition out of Cisco.
