Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

West Campus is a MESS. Welcome back "Have nots." Not TP, no cleaning, garbage everywhere

West campus was not AT ALL ready for a return to office. The hallways are littered with stuff, the garbage is never taken out, the conference rooms are DISGUSTING, There are no monitors in many of the conference rooms (Just spots on the wall where they were torn down), and there has been NO TP in the ladies restrooms.

By contrast, main campus has clean bathrooms, cleaning services happening in conference rooms, no trash and disregarded equipment in the hallways and walkways, and disinfecting is still happening.

What message does this send? "Enjoy life in one of the old buildings, enjoying being forced to come back even though the buildings are not ready, suck it up ... oh and just know you are not as important as the rest."

This thread is laughable. I don’t work for nike but all of you self righteous bi---y babies need to go work at another organization and see how good you people really have it. The campus is gorgeous - whether you work directly on the main campus (within the berm I believe is your lingo) or in locations surrounding the main campus.

Be happy with what you have and if you really don’t like the beauty and cool perks then pack up your sh-t and get out!!!

Yeah your leadership does suck and that is not an enviable position but suck it up and enjoy what you have.

RE: RTW teams - we were asked to get buildings "ready", with no information. What teams would be sitting where, what the use cases are, whats the headcount density per floor or building. It is impossible to meet requirements or expectations when we are chasing moving targets every hour and cannot meaningfully gauge baseline performance in a given work area.

Campus is now one giant middle school soccer game.

@1kwm The people you know on the “RTW team” suck at their jobs. Campus is not ready for prime time and they had 2 years.

@op if you don’t like it then leave. I know a lot of people on the RTW team that worked their as--s off to get these buildings ready for teams.

Sounds like you are just bitter that you aren't on main campus. I have been in a lot of buildings around campus in the last two weeks and all are well maintained, clean and the best they can be. If you want all 17,000 employees on the main campus it might be time to go to freestyle, but if we do that they you'll bi--h about not having a desk, no place to park, long lines for food and a number of other first world problems. If you are not happy here then go someplace else. So many special snowflakes at the company.

Could be worse, you could work at Nevergreen 1

Interesting I found the opposite. All the west buildings were clean and ready for our return. The team at the front desk was helpful. If you have issues I’m sure you could report them.

Sorry to hear about the state of the so often neglected Nike satellite campus buildings. It's always been a "salt in the wound" approach towards those of us on the outside of the beloved main campus folks. You'll note leadership can't stop selling all the amenities of the new buildings but that means nothing for anyone not working in them. What I find completely unacceptable is the level of ineptitude it takes (and the unmitigated gall) to rally and require employees back to campus and not have every last bit of infrastructure in place to make it a smooth transition. They've had over TWO years to get it right and it seems like leadership is once again over-promising and smoke-screening the peasantry. The emperor has no clothes... But look! Over there! Party on main campus! Bread and circuses for the masses to keep us distracted from the lack of competency in the throne.
