Anyone else getting merciless follow up emails daily, sometimes more than once a day, on things you are depending on others for a predecessor task completion?
How many times will Sally and Biff send the same canned, color coded and bolded email despite replies explaining they are barking up the wrong tree?
I really can NOT wait for one of these external positions to complete background check so I can get away from these mindless copy and paste drones!
I have some of these still asking putting 6th request, 7th request in the title and copying managers 2, 3 up etc. No one ever responds or cares. Just feeds the busy work bs to continue.
Well some folks here, especially from a certain part of the world, think you have nothing better to do than drop everything and do what they want rather than do your own overwork because you don’t have enough staff.
@emt+1gNjmuV Copy their manager?? You must not be getting any of these useless requests. Copy their manager then you have 2 of them emailing you for status instead of one.
The lights are on in some of these departments but absolutely no one is home.
When you get the email, and you respond, do you CC that person’s manager? If it continues, do you copy anyone else, or escalate it?

Going through this currently. I keep telling the person I need information from them and they repeatedly ask who gives that information. Now they are asking how to obtain it - your LOB made the form, you tell me!
Since Dec! My word! How completely inefficient and ineffective is this place?
I thought it was just my area that had these people whose sole job seems to be cutting and pasting app IDs into colorful template emails. My favorite ones have red bold ones that copy my manager - as if he will care. 🙄
I've been playing this game with one individual since December. He keeps emailing me weekly asking for updates and I keep responding that I cannot proceed until he provides me with the information I need. A few days later, he will respond back asking who provides that information. I respond back that it is him or someone on his team.
A week later, with no further response I get an email from him asking me on my progress. The cycle repeats.
I'm not sure if he cares if the work ever gets done. It is like he has a check box to follow. Ask for status update one day a week and is just continually putting off with giving me the information I need so I can complete my tasks and hand the results back to him that he will then have to work on.
It's ridiculous.
