I belong to a series of meetings that require a quorum of senior execs to appear to vote on actions and the last two times the organizer has had to cancel it because the appropriate amount of these people didn’t show up. It’s a serious inconvenience for the people organizing these meetings and getting materials together but also really demotivating to know these people can’t even make it to a meeting where their presence is required. Isn’t that all they’re supposed to do? Show up to make the decisions they refuse to let other people under them make on their own?

Seeing how many are sick with COVID currently, I can understand.

They are all unaccountable Jack azzes. Why do u think there have been BILLIONS in fines last several years and executives outsted? Heck, the FRB booted some Board members a few years ago. They collect their big salaries with little accountability.
Kind of silly to think it's part of an exec's job to make decisions only they have the authority to make. It's not like failing to show up and make those decisions is part of their job. On the other hand, the only way the rest of us can successfully do our jobs is to RTO.
Name them.
Some senior execs do tend to expect perks. Maybe being a no show is perceived as one?
