Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Be concerned if you are not being made to RTO

Just found out a team that was given a temporary exemption to continue to wfh were laid off. The entire team. Management probably decided it wasn't worth the fight when they knew the employees would be separated.

I doubt that is it. My team is all WFH, but we have been on boarding new employees with more openings to fill as well.

They sent an email in Feb or March about severance change, check it out. It's actually called severance instead of continuation pay in the handbook

I found an old severance sheet from back in the day and it paid out in months, not weeks, oh well.

If so, that's been in the works for a while.

Was it the underwriters? They were given wfh status.

What new severance policy? I don't see any changes.

The old severance policy isn't there. That was updated last year. It's much lower. I'm at the same amount of job years too.

Think most of my team would rather get severance than RTO. Half of them have been there 20+ years so they’d do pretty well.

What area was this in?

@yim ditto, I want that year of paid vacation job search. Just scored an extra two weeks and we're nearly halfway to another two. :D

Cool. Give me 22 weeks severance plus 6 weeks accrued vacation (CA). Are they giving 60 day WARN pay, too?

I can start engaging with the recruiters I keep hearing from.
