Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

B of a pay increases

For employees under 100k, 3-7% increase in June.

I just applied to three roles.. seems very promising for a salary increase.

Is this true about the increases? Where did you see this?

I don’t take offense with your post, I’m not a teller, but I do think you’re misinformed and your ire should be directed to the CEOs and corporations who have the power to make these sorts of decisions.

Wages for EVERYONE (besides CEOs) have completely been stagnant for years. Heck, look at the federal minimum wage.

The sad fact is wages have not kept pace with cost of living, inflation and CEO compensation. If it did minimum wage would be around $30. We are living in late stage capitalism and we should all join together and force the hand of these billionaires, corrupt politicians and corporations, instead of letting ourselves get upset at some other working stiff for getting a measly raise. 100k is nothing, 50k is nothing etc etc

Op, of course I think all levels should get a comparable increase when these things are done. It should be across the board or at very least a much higher “cap”. I never see wells doing this tho, on any scale.

100K cap is embarrassing. 150-200K should be bare minimum.

What about people over 100k?

Why is 100k still considered a high salary?

It's not.

The new high water mark should be a base of 150k, minimum.

I've worked at both WF and BoA in my career...the grass isn't any different, believe me. If you want something different look at local or regional banks, or consider leaving banking altogether.

While I'm happy seeing the folks on the lower end of the wage scale get a raise, it is kind of frustrating seeing people like tellers catching up to people like engineers.

No offence intended to tellers. Apologies in advance in anyone sees it that way.

My point is that wages have been stagnant for the professional folks for a long time.

They also do reimburse for a portion of daycare, and talk of sabbatical option. One of my buddies works there and although they are not hybrid at our level. Might as well make more $ and save on daycare since we are not fully remote
