Everyone thinks the grass is going to be greener. I have left many companies for others, and have found myself thinking, Ok. This is better than the last company. Only to find myself hating it afterwards.
The only ones who truly have it made are the ones who A) have their own businesses or B) are retiring. Leaving for one company to another isn't much better.
Corporate America is terrible.

Going through it right now. Left WF for betterment, turns out grass is not greener on the other side. Trying to find a way back in before the 6 month deadline
There are companies where you don’t have to wake up every morning and wonder if you’ll be kicked to the curb that day.
Of course layoffs happen but how long has it been now that we have lived with imminent unemployment hanging over our heads? Years.
I’m here because a package will take me to Medicare but I have no idea why a younger person would tolerate this.
I’ve worked at over 5 firms on the street in my 20+ years. Been on both the buy side and sell side. WF has without a doubt the worst culture/company morale I have ever experienced.
Raise your hand if you expected a huge US financial corporation to give a damn about employees when you took the job.
There are certainly many corporations who care about employees if they're the correct color and gender.

This is why many old AG Edwards employees miss the old days.
AG Edwards executives did care. Prior to Bob Bagby, the firm never had a layoff in its history. Executives took pay cuts first. Then if conditions didn't improve, employees took temporary pay cuts.
Ben Edwards frequently wrote articles slamming Wall Street for greed. He insisted on meeting every new hire in person to welcome them.
Greed dominates the corporate world now and only the top 0.1% benefit.
I can’t tell you how many colleagues I have that leave wells and end up missing it. Corporate America as a whole is pretty bad. You’re literally an ID number and a resource. The only time you should leave a company in my opinion is once you’ve milked it for all the jobs you can then jump ship to another one but moving in hopes of finding happiness? Never gonna happen. Corporate America isn’t set up to make the human spirit happy. If it were, we’d get shorter work weeks and less middle management. They’re buying our time so they don’t feel any obligation to make people “happy”
Most companies aren’t going out of their way to make their employees miserable enough to quit. Relative to WF the grass is indeed greener.
It’s worth it to apply out, don’t listen to these weirdos who cope like this because they can’t land another job.
