From a very credible source, the fast majority of service managers won't be in their roles by the end of the year. Basically unless you're in a level 3 branch with a lot of tellers they are adding the service manager role and honestly it couldn't come soon enough

Its a real sh-t-show at branches that have lost their service managers.

Branches exist for low-functioning customers, while also pulling second duty as an expensive local billboard.

OP here: Ok, you're correct technically there are no branch levels, but come on everyone knows what level their branch would be considered.. old level 1 branches already lost their service managers and the branch manager title was changed to associate branch manager. I guess both a district manager and Business execution consultant could both be wrong but it seems likely. I was told that out of 12 branches in the district that only 2 would be slated to keep a service manager and my district only had two level 3 branches previously even though they aren't technically called level 3 any longer. Those branches each have 8 or more tellers and are very high traffic. The rest of the 8 branches that still have service managers only have 4 or 5 tellers and we are the ones that will be losing them. You can choose to believe it if you want, but unless a branch has 6 or 7 service FTE they won't have a service manager by the end of the year. They will be offered a job at a branch within 40 miles and seniority comes into play as to who gets what. If they offer you a position at a branch 40 miles away and you aren't willing to drive it then you go back to applying internally. That's probably ~$7k a year at each branch WF could save if the service manager drops back to banker so for my district alone that's $48k a year in savings and they wouldn't even displace anyone. If one or a few don't want the banker role and just quit that's even more savings. Extrapolated over all of the districts in the company it's really a good way to cut down on expenses and fulfill their obligation of maximizing revenue for the shareholders.
This is a false statement. 1st there are no such thing as level 1,2 or 3 branches anymore. 2nd if branch does not need a Service Manager they will transfer them to a branch that is in need of one.
