Can you jump CL levels?

I was told my sls that I was considered for a supervisory role but since I was a CL23 it would be too much of a CL jump

Can you jump CLs? Or is it where you have to do so many years per cl?

Dude, we have so many people who are “supervisor ready” without having to jump” CLs that we really don’t need another upwardly-focused one like you. If this is how you think the system works then you shouldn’t be a supervisor.

SLS can be 24, BTLs are the jobs that are typically 25-27

Certain criteria allow for rapid escalation based on merit, potential...... HaHa, made you look. It's all about who you know and how well you blow. Sell your soul to to the trolls and conform to someone you said you would never stoop so low to be.

I don't know about jumping CLs, but you can get a promotion and then get another one a few months later, Happened to me once.

It’s happened but it’s rare. It involves higher level approval and everything so it’s got to be for a very good reason, more than just we think s/he is ready. High flyer who is considering leaving might be an excuse these days, not sure. Usually also it involves someone who they are sure should have been promoted last year or the year before but wasn’t for some reason, which certainly happened to quite a lot of people the past two years.

Short answer is NO. Ask yourself, what's special about you that the next person cannot do?

If you have special high demand skills like some traders maybe, if your potential is a CL36+ that is company president material maybe.

Supervisors are dime a dozen. No reason for people to jump CLs to give that role.

Not trying to be condescending, just being realistic.

Considered and quickly dismissed. Sounds like a bs story your supervisor made up to inspire you to work harder. Do you really want to be a supervisor? Even management says it is the worst job ever.

Supervisors are typically CL25 and above. There’s a promotion matrix based on YEE, trailing 2y performance and potential, so that will determine how fast you get promoted.

Yes but typically that happens after CL30
